Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter whose emotionally charged work and expressive brushwork reshaped modern art. Largely self-taught, he produced over 2,000 artworks—including iconic pieces like Starry Night, Sunflowers, and The Bedroom—often marked by bold color and dynamic movement. Van Gogh struggled with mental illness and poverty, selling only a few works in his lifetime. His deep connection to nature, spirituality, and human suffering permeated his art.
